For Jenny Tay and Darren Cheng, both undertakers, death played a “central and important part” in thephoto shoot, taken for their upcoming wedding in October.
“A large part of the shootwas definitely inspired by our jobs,” said Ms Tay, who is also thedaughter of one of Singapores most famous undertakers.
“Wedding shoots are oftenstaged at places which bring the most memories. For us, work plays such a hugepart of our lives so we wanted to do it in style.”
But that was not the onlyreason behind the couples photo shoot.

“Its important to talkabout death; its part and parcel of everyones life. Many Asian societiesoften portray it negatively - we hope to be able to debunk that taboo byencouraging people to be open about death.”
